Elegant, Cozy, Stylish

Welcome to The Belding House, A Refined Bed & Breakfast. This Federal Colonial home was built by David Belding in 1810 and is on the State Register of Historic Places. Located in the heart of the Mad River Valley, just minutes from Sugarbush, Stowe & Mad River Glen in Vermont’s Green Mountains. We are a true four season destination on Vermont’s famed scenic Route 100. An ideal location next to the historical New England villages of Warren & Waitsfield, yet just minutes to world class dining & shopping in Waterbury, Stowe, Montpelier & Burlington. The Belding House Bed & Breakfast offer’s our guest the quintessential Vermont experience.

Area Attractions include Covered Bridges, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Cabot Creamery Annex, Cold Hollow Cider Mill & The New England Culinary Institute to name just a few. Visit our local Farmer’s Market, where you pick the produce right from the field. We have several local Maple Sugar Houses; see your bottle of Vermont Maple Syrup being made. Micro Brewery's, Antique Shops, Chocolates & Teddy Bears are all within minutes, and of course some of the best Fall Foliage in all of Vermont right in our backyard.

Our Inn offers five comfortable & stylish queen bedded guest rooms each with private bathroom and fireplace. Our rooms feature featherbeds & down comforters with 600 thread count damask duvets to keep you warm on a crisp Vermont night. Cozy Turkish robes and upgraded bathroom spa amenities complete your home away from home.

Quiet moments for those looking to slow down and escape the daily grind. Relax on our two acres of grounds and gardens, read a book on the back porch while sipping a lemonade, or walk down to the local swimming hole. Enjoy a game of croquette or horse shoes on the back lawn. Take in the wild life that visits often. Wild turkeys, deer and an incredible array of birds; even a moose from time to time. In the spring & summer month’s cows greet you in the meadow. Each morning awake to the call of roosters from the neighboring farm, where your breakfast eggs come from.

Cozy & Comfortable, Elegant yet Unpretentious, Tasteful & Understated. It’s about a step back to a simpler time. It’s about the details and a level of service not found in bed & breakfast’s today. From the greeting on the porch with a cold beverage while your luggage is taken to your room, to a hot toddy waiting for you in front of the fire after a day on the slopes. With original works of fine art from Europe, Asia & Africa we have tried to stay true to the spirit of the homes colonial heritage, but break from the traditional run of the mill bed & breakfast. With fine furnishings, romantic lighting, relaxing music & outstanding service; we know that your visit to The Belding House Bed & Breakfast will be the first of many happy returns.

"We're speechless…….. Absolutely Beautiful, Charming & Relaxing."
